Of course, it’s not just Bush who’s leaving on Tuesday. His entire administration will be out on its ear, including Deadeye Dick Cheney.

Now that he’ll have an abundance of leisure time, he may well spend some of it trying to get better at hunting. In the short term, this is bad news for geriatric Texan attorneys (like Harry Whittington: the one he shot in the face, neck and chest in the middle of his second term).

However, when he gets his aim in, it’s the quails who are going to suffer.
