In a week where not much else is going on, the Chris Brown & Rihanna story has exploded into a black hole of hearsay and conjecture. Even the web/print news media battle has been sucked in, with Star magazine proudly beating its chest and proclaiming to be able to spout as much bollocks as anybody off the internet can.

An ‘insider’ has revealed the root cause of Rihanna’s suffering was, in fact, Leona Lewis, who Brown was spotted talking to at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy do.

Witnesses at the pre-Grammy event claim: ‘At one point, Rihanna caught Chris flirting with Leona.’

‘They were carrying on and laughing, and Rihanna saw Chris with his hand on the small of Leona’s back. It may have been innocent, but that set Rihanna off.’

DAMNING STUFF. Leona’s ‘people’ are so eager to distance themselves from this nonsense they’ve actually bothered to release an official statement saying she had nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile, more rumour is swirling that Jay-Z, a ‘close’ ‘mentor’ to Rihanna, was none too pleased on hearing news of the assault and Brown could expect a bit of ‘disturbia’ (sorry) in the next few days…
