Making their triumphant return to the competition after storming into the Top 10 with their debut effort “Day After Day” in 2008, Azerbaijan’s 2009 entry “Always” is looking good to achieve a similar level of success.

There’s nothing here that Turkey aren’t doing just as well (if not better) but the Eurovision is nothing if not inclusive. There’s plenty of room for everyone’s pounding tribal rhythms, twangy sitars and warbly woman vocals. Welcome back, Azerbaijan!
