Bad logo Friday

The HM Treasury commissioned this logo last year, spending £14,000 on the image being printed onto pens, mousemats and other office accessories. The Office of Government Commerce was rebranded thus:

 

 

 

 

 

Unfortunately, the project had to be pulled almost immediately, because when you turn it on its side it looks like this: 

 

A spokesman for the OGC simply said: “It is true that it caused a few titters among some staff when viewed on its side, but on consideration we concluded that the effect was generic to the particular combination of the letters OGC – and it is not inappropriate to an organisation that’s looking to have a firm grip on Government spend.”
