Free money in Carnaby Street
Written by: loullamae
We’re not sure why but at 11 am today there were people chucking £10,000 worth of five pound notes out of Miss Sixty on Carnaby Street.
Tip-offs had been doing the rounds yesterday about the event, resulting in a crowd of about 70 people gathering outside the shop this morning, waiting for the money to be dropped out of a top-floor window. Unfortunately the people inside couldn’t get the window open properly – the top part of it appeared to be jammed resulting in only the bottom half of the window opening and the money being thrown mainly onto the spikes placed on window ledges in order to deter burglars. In addition to this, the majority of the money that did make it to the ground was swept up by a man brandishing a large net. Some people are reluctant to play fair.
Luckily he got his comeuppance: The notes were a mixture of real and fake fivers, but mostly fake.
