Happy John Snow day

No, not THAT Jon Snow

This John Snow.
He managed to rid Soho of cholera by finding the source – a dodgy water pump – and discovering how the disease was spread.
The water pump in question was on Broadwick Street, and now there is a pub named after him on the same street. So if you’re in the area, go for a pint. And if you’re not, you should go for a pint anyway in rememberance, as today in 1813, John Snow died.

p.s. John Snow also did some other really important stuff to do with biology or medicine or something, but we’re more interested in the pub bit.
