What we done and gone and seen at the Camden Crawl
So it was the Camden crawl the other weekend and I've only just got out of bed to write this wrap-up - it was a pretty heavy one. Here's a list of interesting things that went down: Saturday First off we went to see Three Trapped Tigers because I thought it might actually be three trapped tigers and this was something I'd never seen before. As it happened it was not three trapped tigers, but a band called Three Trapped Tigers, who I had similarly never seen before. They were interesting to say the least - I liked some of their songs, ...
A re-introduction to The Expendables
So the other day, the first full-length trailer for The Expendables 2 popped up online, and let me tell you, it wasn't the only thing that popped up that day, it looks brilliant: httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKiHmB3nW7o&feature=player_embedded Here's the real one: httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQf3YP8p85I We'll ignore the fact that the first one wasn't the best thing since sliced heads, but this one just feels better. Sly has handed over the camera to Simon West (of Con Air) so hopefully all the manic 'can't see what the hell is going on because the camera is flying all over the place' direction has gone. Either way, I'm excited and as a ...
Seriously, this could be the BEST FILM EVER MADE
OK - so you can't always tell from the trailer AND - Expendables I was one of the most disappointing film experiences ever BUT - Expendables II looks amazing Van Damme speaking ridiculous lines! Arnie saying "I'm Back!" Arnie and Bruce Willis making jokes together in a Smart car! Jason Statham playing Jason Statham! Chuck Norris! Dolph Lundgren! UFC's Randy Couture! At least one Hemsworth! httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQf3YP8p85I more news to follow...
Popbitch survives a zombie apocalypse
I have seen A LOT of zombie films. I've been watching them since I can remember and I don't think I'll ever stop. As a result, I reckon I have a pretty good idea of exactly what to do should I ever be involved in a zombie invasion - simply stock up on ammo and food, stick together, and always shoot for the head. Easy. I most definitely wouldn't scream like a girl, start shooting at the ceiling, almost shit myself, and run mindlessly into a pitch-black room completely neglecting to help my friends whilst they are being horribly murdered ...
Popbitch goes to Finland with Iron Sky (Day One)
We've been harping on about Iron Sky for over a year now, and with good reason - it's a fantastic premise. In a nutshell, the film concerns the relocation of the Nazis to the Moon at the end of World War II, and their subsequent plans to attack Earth in the present day. You're mad if you're not even slightly interested in seeing this. And guess what? The Iron Sky people invited me to Finland to see the film, all free of charge - good Lord, I hoped it would be good... *** The trip didn't start off too well (not many of ...
How Daniel Bedingfield spends his time and money
So, Daniel Bedingfield has reached the target for his pledge-based crowd-funded EP project - but why is he in need of the money? Could it be because he's been spending his own on shooting videos like this one, in which he is incessantly mauled by a pack of beautiful models, who won't let him play on his drum-kit and can't seem to tear his clothes off fast enough? It's like a Lynx advert with the genuine threat of sexual violence. Daniel Bedingfield - Rocks Off httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTyKG6u1k6s (Still, anyone who bought one of his strip poker packages will be reassured to know that he really isn't ...
