So it turns out that Sigourney Weaver loves her Italian Greyhound ‘Petals’ so much that she had it married to the dog next door. 

There were already plans to breed with the neighbour’s dog, and her 11-year-old child (at the time), Charlotte, thought the two love-dogs should not be doing it doggy-style before joined in holy matrimony. 

The service in 2000 saw Sigourney’s dog Petals dressed in a pearl-studded faux Vera Wang evening gown, while the groom wore a bow tie.
